Dental Fillings
At Smile Hub Dental Clinic, we only fix broken teeth with tooth-colored composite filling materials. A unique substance called composite is created by mixing resin, glass, and plastic. It flawlessly complements your smile because it is color-matched to your real teeth. Since composite is created on and attached to the tooth directly, unlike traditional silver amalgam fillings, no good teeth need to be extracted.
The same methods can be used to enhance the look of your front teeth, which will enhance your smile. We can utilise composite to fix problems and conceal flaws for any light damage and discoloration.
Why use white filler material?
- Strengthens the tooth's weakened structure.
- They are a cosmetic improvement that can boost confidence.
How do white fillings get put in?
The decaying portion of the tooth is first removed, frequently under topical anaesthesia.
A specific gel is used to prepare the area, creating the ideal surface for the composite to adhere to.
After cleaning and drying the tooth, a priming substance is added.
In order to make the repair conform to the shape of the tooth, layers of composite are applied to the tooth.
When we are satisfied with the shape, we polish the resin after the resin has dried under a bright light.
How long are fillings good for?
Your natural teeth are not resistant to bacteria and discoloration like your filling is.
Plaque and bacteria may be kept out of your mouth with regular cleaning. Your filling will last as long as possible thanks to this. Also, since composite isn't as durable as tooth enamel, you should refrain from biting directly onto the filling.
