Oral Surgery
Oral surgery includes all medical procedures requiring surgical intervention. It may include problems with the jaw, face, and mouth. The majority of people experience anxiety at the notion of having any kind of surgery, yet oral surgery procedures are frequently quick and may be completed in the comfort of our studios.
What procedures are covered by oral surgery?
Our dentist is capable of performing:
- Extractions for teeth with deterioration and damage
- Getting impacted wisdom teeth removed
- Taking out crowded or crooked teeth
- Uncovering hidden teeth
- Treating lip and tongue ties
- Treatment of polyps and irregular lumps
- Dealing with jaw cysts
Extractions
The greatest option is occasionally to have a problematic tooth removed. The most frequent oral surgery procedure is an extraction. Depending on the complexity, your dentist will determine whether an extraction is necessary for your tooth and may then refer you for the procedure.
For straightforward extractions, we use dental forceps to loosen the tooth and then remove it completely from the socket.
If the tooth must be extracted in sections due to its size, more difficult extractions are required. This would involve an extraction by surgery.
